Seals and sea lions on Shell Island.
Sunflower Tube Feet

SEA can lead you on a tidepool walk depending on the tides.

The most common activity is depicted on the left panel.  Those brown bumps on the beach in front of Shell Island are California sea lions. You may be able to see more of them on Simpson Reef in the background.  On the smaller rock this side of the island are a few harbor seals.  In the lower photo, a SEA Docent is helping a young visitor use a spotting scope to get a closer view.

In the Spring, SEA can show you the breeding sea birds on the rocks near Coquille Point in Bandon.
