Visitors at Simpson Reef
Boat House Auditorium
at Oregon Institute of Marine Biology

The venue for SEA's seminars is the Boat House Auditorium at  the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology.
OIMB, the Marine Biology school of the University of Oregon, has been a mainstay in support of SEA since its inception.

2008 Seminars

SEA Inc. presents a series of Seminars every winter.  These seminars are presented primarily to prepare volunteers for service as Docents, but they are open to the public on a space available basis.

The 2008 program has now been announced.  SEA has arranged with OIMB to book the Boat House in Charelston on the second Saturday of January through May in 2008

To see how to get to the Boat House see the map.

Except in February the Seminars will start at 9 am.  The Boat House will be opened by 8:30 and coffee and cookies will be available. In February, the lecture portion will be at 3:30 pm.  Plan you time since you will have to park alongside Boat Basin Way and walk through the Coast Guard housing area to the Boat House.
