Fall 2004 Newsletter	The approach to the OIMB Boat House Auditorium is out Boat Basin Drive in Charleston. After you pass the grey shingled buildings of OIMB the boat basin opens up on the right.  Then the ODFW [Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife] office is on the left.  At the west end of Boat Basin Drive is this gate to the Coast Guard Housing Area.  The sign says "Authorized Personnel Only."  When you are on the way to the Boat House, you are authorized to walk along this road.  Those of us who are hauling equipment and supplies are authorized to drive over it. As the map indicates, the road curves around the housing area and leads to the Boat House.
