A Docent with guest

A SEA Docent discusses the common murre rookery on Middle Coquille Point Rock.

This spotting scope was loaned by US Fish & Wildlife Service to its "Friends Group."  Since that time SEA has been able to purchase new scopes with grants from the Coquille Indian Tribe and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation..

All the murres have returned to their pelagic winter habitat.  We expect to see them again shortly after the New Year when they start to return to check out their favorite places.
SEA is incorporated in Oregon and has been acknowleged by the IRS to be tax exempt under section 501(c)(3).  This is important if you wish to make a gift to support SEA's work and would like to have a tax break for it.  Your Tax Consultant will want to know SEA's EIN:  93-1042801

SEA was founded in Bandon Oregon in 1990.  SEA has always been an all volunteer organization supported by membership dues, donations received while helping people learn about the shoreline and gifts
SEA is always seeking new members and is willing to share this satisfying work with any sincere volunteer.  Just click on the link to "How we prepare for service" in the menu at the left.

SEA is governed by bylaws.
